The energy was palpable from the minute I stepped into a classroom at Booker T. Washington Middle School for the Arts in Baltimore’s Madison Park neighborhood.
Loud. Hot. Busy. These are my first impressions as I tour Workshop #2, the assembly floor for 11- and 40-liter engines at Chongqing Cummins Engine Company (CCEC) plant in Chongqing, China.
This particular Wednesday, however, found me knee deep in rich Maryland soil, tackling little green enemies in the form of clover, chickweed, and crabgrass with the same vigor that I typically apply to my ever-growing inbox.
