IYF Announces New Members to Join its Board of Directors

The International Youth Foundation (IYF) is pleased to announce four exceptional individuals have joined its Board of Directors, bringing with them a wide range of experience, backgrounds and perspectives on global youth issues. The news was announced during IYF’s Youth@Work: Bridging the Opportunity Divide conference, being held in Washington, DC.

“We are thrilled to welcome such an impressive and diverse group who reflect our deep commitment to engage leaders from all sectors of society in our mission to expand opportunities for today’s youth,” said IYF’s President and CEO Bill Reese. “These distinguished and committed individuals will help guide our organization in the years ahead as we strengthen our efforts to ensure young people everywhere have the necessary skills and opportunities to realize their potential.”

  • Christopher J. Nassetta, CEO for Hilton Worldwide, is a leader in the hospitality industry – an industry that creates more jobs than any other sector. Hilton Worldwide has recently announced a new partnership with IYF to further expand the company’s already significant commitment to improving the lives of young people and their families in communities where employees live and work.
  • 2009 YouthActionNet® Fellow, Naadiya Moosajee, founded an organization in South Africa that promotes the development and advancement of women in the field of engineering. Identified as among the “Top 100 Brightest Young Minds in South Africa,” her experience as a successful young social entrepreneur will enrich IYF’s ongoing discussions around how best to expand its youth leadership and civic engagement activities.
  • Evelyn Berg Ioschpe, another successful entrepreneur, is the President of the Ioschpe Foundation and the Arts in School Institute in Brazil and co-founder of the Group of Institutes, Foundations and Enterprises (GIFE), a Brazilian association of private organizations that invest in social programs. A sociologist and journalist, Ms. Iospchpe has focused much of her humanitarian efforts on scaling up basic quality of education, teacher training and “third sector” engagement.
  • John Studzinski, who runs the Blackstone Advisory Partners and serves as a Senior Managing Director of the Blackstone Group, began his banking career at Morgan Stanley in 1980. A respected voice in the international business community and a strong supporter of the arts, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a recipient of the Prince of Wales Ambassador Award.
