Where We Work: Poland
We provided seed funding for the creation of the Polish Children and Youth Foundation (PCYF) in 1992, as the country was emerging from a post-communist recession.
With a focus on alternative education, youth inclusion, and cross-cultural understanding, in its earliest days PCYF launched leadership workshops and made grants to local youth groups. From 2001 to 2010, PCYF was our local partner in carrying out the Make a Connection initiative, which boosted community engagement by supporting local youth groups. More than 20 years after its founding, this member of our global partner network continues to reach more than 200,000 youth annually.
