In April 2023, Ashleigh Gilley began her journey with IYF as the Digital Coordinator for the Microsoft Go Low Code course. In this role, Ashleigh ensured the course ran smoothly by providing operational, technical, and administrative support. She also served as the Micro Internship Lead, guiding more than 70 interns through Beta Testing 1 and 2, as well as course evaluation.

Before joining IYF, Ashleigh invested over a decade in education as a high school English teacher. Her dedication to teaching, in both traditional and virtual classrooms, was driven by her desire to motivate students to discover their inner strengths and true inspirations. Her goal was to create a vibrant learning space where students felt empowered to articulate their beliefs, thoughts, and opinions. Ashleigh's career transition to the non-profit sector saw her excel as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO of Let's Breakthrough Inc.-US, advocating for the safety and well-being of Black and Indigenous women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals through the powerful mediums of storytelling and media. Now, she has taken on the role of Program Coordinator for US & Global Programs at IYF, playing an integral role on the Burberry Inspire and UP for Change teams. Her responsibilities include managing the innovative Burberry Inspire Youth Ambassador Program and the UP for Change Leadership Program.
