Barsilay joined IYF in 2022 as Program Coordinator for the Mexico Country Office. She brings with her experience in program coordination from international non-governmental organizations. Her previous position as the National Volunteer Coordinator at Greenpeace Mexico allowed her to improve and consolidate skills in project planning and design, as well as gain experience managing, developing, and inspiring volunteers. Barsilay also built creative strategies for mass offline and online mobilization to further engage supporters, and implemented a plan for volunteer recruitment, which included identifying potential volunteers and volunteer leaders, and amplifying their impact on campaign and project goals.

Barsilay holds a degree in International Business Management from Universidad Veracruzana. She furthered her education with the Women Will: Leadership Course from Grow with Google. Barsilay appreciates working in multicultural teams and is passionate about social and environmental causes.
