Chonghee began her journey with IYF in November 2023, taking on the role of Deputy Project Director for Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH) as part of USAID's global Promoting Results and Outcomes through Policy and Economic Levers (PROPEL) Youth and Gender (PROPEL Y&G) project. As part of this dynamic project, Chonghee serves as a core lead member of the IYF-led consortium, working closely with key partners including Palladium, JHCCP, and Choice for Youth & Sexuality. Her addition to IYF brings a strong asset to the FP/RH field, backed by 22 years of public health expertise at the global, regional, and country levels. Chonghee's rich experience includes 15 years of leadership in complex, youth and gender-responsive multi-country initiatives in low-resource countries in Asia and the Pacific, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Prior to her role at IYF, Chonghee made a significant impact as part of the FP2030 Partnership, where she dedicated seven years of her career. In her roles as Director of Scale-Up and Innovation and Director of Country Engagement and Transition, Chonghee played a key role in driving government commitments in approximately 50 countries worldwide across multiple regions. Her leadership helped advance family planning programs that respect human rights. Chonghee's service to the public sector is equally noteworthy, having served as director of the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare and policy analyst at the Korea International Cooperation Agency. In these roles, she developed mid- to long-term strategies for bilateral ODA programs to low-resource countries. In a previous role, Chonghee served as a program officer at the UNFPA country office in Nepal, where she provided critical technical support to the government's national community health workforce program in collaboration with USAID, UNICEF, WHO, and UNAIDS. Chonghee holds a master's degree in public health with a focus on demography from Seoul National University.
