David joined IYF in 2021 with 4 years of international development experience, supporting new business efforts for clients such as USAID, DFID/FCDO, UNICEF, and US Department of State. Most recently, he served as the Opportunity Coordinator for the Economic Growth sector at DAI Global, where he helped build the new business pipeline and directly supported proposals focusing on workforce development, improved agricultural value chains and land governance, improving private sector competitiveness, and reform of state-owned entities. Previously, David worked for FHI360, where he supported implementation of a U.S. Department of State-funded education project operating in over 85 countries. Throughout these experiences, work has led David to Mexico, Ukraine, and Tajikistan.
David taught English at a public high school in Calahorra, Spain, and before that, Hanoi, Vietnam. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Global Studies, with a concentration in International Politics, Nation-States and Social Movements from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
