Linda Fogarty

Director of Measurement, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL), USA

Linda is the Director of Measurement, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) for IYF. In this role she provides strategic direction, leadership and management for the MERL practice at IYF in partnership with a dynamic and committed team of technical specialists worldwide. Before coming to IYF, Linda was Sr. Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Research at Jhpiego for nearly a decade, implementing organization-wide capacity development initiatives, emphasizing M&E standards, rigorous program evaluations, adaptive management, digital solutions and knowledge dissemination. At Jhpiego and before, as a research associate at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, she used mixed-methods research to evaluate programs and explore public health challenges covering a range of topics (e.g., maternal health, FP/RH, HIV, malaria, breast cancer, dementia). Linda holds a PhD in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, a master’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of California, San Diego.
