District Field Officer, ZIMBABWE ZimbabweLynnet is a project management expert with deep experience in planning and monitoring and evaluation of microfinance and entrepreneurship projects, gained through working for KIVA as a Kiva Fellow for the Impact Evaluation Research Project with ECLOF Kenya. She has designed market research tools for quantitative and qualitative data collection (Focus Group Discussion Guides, In-depth Interview Guides, and Questionnaires) for the Mustard Seed Consultancy, ZIM:WORKS project. With an education background in microfinance, Lynnet impacted the lives of young people and women through her work with Junior Achievement Kenya and Zimbabwe Microfinance Women Bank respectively. Through the portfolios she managed, Lynnet provided training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, work readiness skills and access to finance, with a specific focus on young people and disadvantaged women. Through her position as Loan Officer with the Zimbabwe Microfinance Women Bank, she also built partnerships with non-governmental organizations that include SNV and Care International, which boosted clients’ access to affordable finance. With the same experience and passion to economically empower disadvantaged youth and women, Lynnet is currently teaching entrepreneurship skills, life skills, and technical skills to youth and caregivers, as part of the Pathways Project.
Lynnet holds a Master’s Degree in Microfinance from Moi University in Kenya, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Zimbabwe, and Certificates in Financial Analysis for Microfinance Practitioners from Microfinance Association (UK) and Sustainable Microfinance Development Program at the University of New Hampshire.
