Program Officer, ETHIOPIA EthiopiaPrior to joining IYF, Netsanet worked with local and international NGOs and government agencies. She worked as a clinician in a rural public health clinic in the southern region of Ethiopia, and her experience in the development sector focused on adolescents and youth groups, including orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and other at-risk youth populations. For four years, she was part of a development project addressing harmful traditional practices (HTPs), particularly female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage (CM), and teenage pregnancy in the Amhara and Afar regions of Ethiopia. Netsanet holds a Master of Public Health degree from Jimma University. Currently, she is Program Officer in IYF's Ethiopia team and actively contribute to the Kefeta Youth Program.
