Onyinye joined IYF in October 2023, bringing with her a wealth of experience as a passionate Sexual and Reproductive Health Specialist and an innovative Social Entrepreneur. With a career spanning over a decade, her unwavering dedication is centered on advancing the cause of adolescent and women’s sexual and reproductive health, empowering youth, and championing girls’ education. Prior to her association with IYF, Onyinye played a pivotal role as the Country Engagement Officer for Anglophone Africa within the Family Planning 2030 (FP2030) Initiative. Her portfolio included over ten African countries, where she worked collaboratively with governments, civil society organizations, and youth groups to develop, implement, and renew their commitments to FP2020 and FP2030.

Furthermore, Onyinye’s contributions extend to research, advocacy, and project coordination in the domains of health, gender equality, and youth development.

Onyinye’s academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology & Anthropology from Agnes Scott College and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Washington-Seattle. In 2020, the University of Washington School of Public Health recognized her as one of the 50 Changemakers of Public Health, highlighting her substantial impact in the field
