Sarah (Gardiner) Gorham is the Director of Business Development for the International Youth Foundation. In this role, she leads IYF’s Business Development unit for institutional public donor funding. Before arriving at IYF, Sarah was a Senior Proposal Manager at Jhpiego, where she managed the full life cycle of program proposal development for a wide range of institutional donors.

Previously, she served in Business Development roles at University Research Company in Bethesda, Maryland, and CARE USA in Atlanta, Georgia. For her graduate practicum, Sarah spent six months conducting program evaluations with Innovations for Poverty Action in Ghana and Kenya. She also served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in The Gambia, where she carried out numerous youth activities, including school-based HIV/AIDS education, girls leadership camps and work with community skill development centers. Sarah holds a master’s degree in International Health from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and bachelor’s degrees in Biological Anthropology and English from Emory University.
