As a District Field Officer in the Mutare region, Shamiso is responsible for capacitating rural households in economic strengthening activities under the Pathways program. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sociology and an Executive Certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation, both obtained from the University of Zimbabwe. She has worked in the community development sector since graduating in 2015 and, particularly from her work with the Bulawayo Projects Centre, has previous experience in community mobilisation, development work, facilitating entrepreneurship and life skills/ work readiness trainings, implementing self-help projects, and career guidance. Other programs she has supported include Market Gardening (a business implemented by DanChurch Aid), the Zimbabwe Building Resilience Fund (Welt Hunger Hilfe), and Zimbabwe:Works (International Youth Foundation). Through her work with the Population Services International in Zimbabwe, Shamiso also has experience conducting surveys and research of various kinds.
