Tanzania Youth Scholars

Launched in May 2011, Tanzania Youth Scholars (TYS) is a five-year initiative funded by USAID through the Youth:Work mechanism.Nearly 10 percent of Tanzanian youth are orphans or vulnerable children. These young people lack opportunities to gain the necessary education and job training for their transition to a successful adulthood. TYS connects them with the skills to succeed.
