Guide for Designing Job Placement Services for Disadvantaged Youth

This toolkit offers guidance on providing job placement services for disadvantaged youth. The International Youth Foundation (IYF) developed the toolkit as part of the New Employment Opportunities (NEO) program to help build the capacity of participating organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Chapter 1 addresses the resources organizations interested in offering job placement services must utilize: models and institutional frameworks, human and technological resources, and inputs for monitoring and evaluating quality and results. Chapter 2 emphasizes the process of training and guidance youth need to gain access and maintain decent jobs. Finally, Chapter 3 presents guidelines and strategies for building bridges and strengthening relationships with employers.
