With roots that can be traced all the way back to 1967 in Brazil, Pescar (Fishing) Centers have been linking vulnerable youth to life-skills, industry-specific training and employment opportunities for decades. The model has caught on, with more than 90 centers in Brazil and 20 in Argentina. Since 2004, more than 3,000 youth have graduated from Pescar Centers established by Fundación Pescar at major companies, such as Toyota, Volvo Trucks & Busses, and Coca-Cola in Argentina.
