Youth – Employability – Opportunity Conference in Amman, Jordan

This event report presents the proceedings of the Youth – Employability – Opportunity conference held in Amman, Jordan, on January 18 and 19, 2009. The event was held in collaboration with the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Youth Employment initiative and the MENA Child Protection Initiative of the Arab Urban Development Institute. The report summarizes the discussion on skills development and job placement programs for disadvantaged youth and best practices and lessons learned for promoting scale and sustainability of youth employability programs.
