Edmari Del Valle is currently the U.S. Workforce Development Program Manager at IYF. In her current role, Edmari provides program management, technical coordination, and operational support to workforce training programs in the U.S. She originally joined IYF as an Award Coordinator for the Award Management Unit (AMU) in 2021 with six years of experience ensuring diverse program goals and resources align with organization-wide strategy, while effectively managing stakeholder engagement and delivering impact. She is a youth development professional with a background in project management, program development, youth programming, academic advising, and mentorship. Prior to joining IYF, she worked for Operation Smile on a variety of capacity-building and health systems strengthening projects committed to increasing the provision of safe, quality, and comprehensive cleft care in low- and middle-income countries. She managed a portfolio of medical education and training programs implemented in Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Madagascar, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, among other countries in Africa, Latin America, and MENA. She describes herself as a reliable, empathetic, servant leader with an unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life of children and families in the regions that need it most. Edmari attained a master’s degree in Human Development from Virginia Tech with the majority of coursework concentrated in child and adolescent development, professional helping skills, and organizational management. Originally from Fajardo, Puerto Rico, she grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and kicked off her professional career in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.
