Eric Couper

Digital Development Director

Eric Couper is the Digital Development Director for IYF. In this role, he leads IYF’s embrace of technology in close collaboration with team members globally – both driving the organization’s digital strategy and supporting projects. Before coming to IYF, Eric cofounded Perennial Foods Group (PFG), an agriculture social enterprise that works with smallholder farmers across East Africa to adopt sustainable agriculture practices that increase their economic opportunities. As the Director of Operations, Eric led the company’s production, packhouse, international procurement, business intelligence, expansion, and technology activities. As a digital development professional, Eric worked at both Abt Associates and the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency designing, budgeting, developing, advising, and managing digital development initiatives. He holds a MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University as well as a BA in International Relations and a BA in Cognitive Studies from Tulane University. No matter where Eric is living, he carries the culinary and musical traditions of his home, Louisiana, with him always.
