PROGRAM SUMMARY
Ta3mal Palestine is a new program that will increase job placements through the Palestine Ta3mal initiative.  Silatech and Microsoft have partnered with IYF to start the implementation and launch of Ta3mal initiative in Palestine. By combining all workforce development and employability stakeholders, Ta3mal utilizes technology to enhance national and regional efforts to facilitate transition into the workplace. Building on its extensive experience, IYF works as a strategic partner for implementing and managing Ta3mal in Palestine through providing access to its wide network of partners. Through IYF’s partners’ experiences in the field, the Ta3mal portal is connecting Palestinian youth with private sector, public sector, civil society and educational institutions through a user friendly platform, while providing them with the skills and training necessary to excel in the workplace.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE
The Fursati Assistant will be responsible for implementing on-the-ground outreach for the Fursati campaign to help Palestinian youth apply and gain virtual part time and/or full time employment opportunities through this program. The Fursati Assistant is expected to organize and run workshops throughout the West Bank, support workshop attendees and other youth to create profiles on Nabbesh.com and apply to Fursati freelance jobs on Nabbesh. The Fursati Assistant will also support the social media outreach to freelancers for workshops, hold office hours or liaison with local freelancers as needed to respond to queries.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and manage on the ground outreach for Fursati campaign
  • Organize and regular  monthly workshops throughout the West Bank
  • Support workshop attendees and other youth to create profiles on Nabbesh.com and apply to Fursati freelance jobs on Nabbesh
  • Social Media outreach to freelancers for workshops
  • Hold office hours or liaison with local freelancers as needed to respond to queries
  • Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor

SUPERVISOR
This position will report directly to the Ta3mal Program Coordinator based in Palestine.     

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines
  • Demonstrated history of achieving targets and servicing customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and outgoing personality, must be very customer focused
  • Ability to generate ideas and work within minimal guidance
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills in Arabic and preferably in English
  • Relevant experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience working on International-funded programs in West Bank/Gaza and/or the Middle East region preferred.
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
