SUMMARY DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE
The Team Leader will implement the program’s strategic vision, oversee fiscal integrity, quality and timeliness of deliverables and coordination with all stakeholders and partners. S/he will be based in Amman, Jordan on a full-time basis and will directly supervise the Social Experts, IT Experts, and M&E Officer.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for overall management of the project activities and team. S/he will lead the strategic planning activities and direct the project team on technical, financial and administrative component.
- Provide technical expertise and vision to the development of the case management system (CMS), surveying of households, and referral of services for households within the project’s targeted beneficiaries.
- Manage and ensure timely implementation of the project as per the project plan agreed with MOPIC PMU and other related stakeholders.
- Lead coordination and communication activities with MOPIC PMU and other related stakeholders.
- Oversee the referral services component of the program and ensure national and local stakeholders are involved and participating in the Program.
- Responsible for the overall reporting of the project progress and communicating feedback.
- Review the overall project performance and suggest amendments to the approach and processes of implementation.
- Responsible for the overall progress and indicators achievement of the project.
- Hold the primary responsibility of communication and final reporting to the MOPIC PMU.
- Continuous communication and interaction to assess related stakeholders and partners needs and expectations of the project.
- Lead the development and advocacy of evidence-based policy reform recommendations with the MOPIC PMU and other related stakeholders.
SUPERVISOR
Reports directly to the Regional Director based in Amman.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, applied statistics, a social sciences discipline, or similar field.
- 8+ years of experience in the MENA region with a broad network of contacts in the public and private sector.
- Knowledge of/experience with programs doing social science research, particularly in the areas of youth employment and/or social services (e.g. education, health) preferred.
- Experience managing and implementing large-scale household survey projects preferred.
- Experience working in the MENA region is preferred. Experience working with a diversity of donors is a plus.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and diplomacy in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, reliability, organizational, and time management skills. Flexibility to respond to some periods of high pressure is required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Oral and written fluency in English and Arabic.
- Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and is able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to regularly travel within the region.
