Empowering young people to become leaders in public policy and development.
Program Description
The World Bank Group’s Civil Society and Social Innovation Alliance (CIVIC) and IYF are launching the Youth in Action: Network for young social entrepreneurs and civil society leaders across Brazil. Drawing on IYF’s expertise in youth engagement and employment, the Network will create a platform for peer learning, knowledge exchange, and collaboration connected to public systems and World Bank Brazil operations.
Through links to participatory processes such as Brazil’s Plano Plurianual (PPA) and Brasil Participativo, the Network will help youth-led and youth-serving organizations turn community-based ideas into policy influence. The goal is to move from consultation to co-creation—equipping young people to shape how public policies and development investments are designed and implemented.
