Program Description

InteligencIA, implemented by IYF with support from Google.org, helps young people, educators, and public servants across Mexico build the skills and confidence to use artificial intelligence effectively and responsibly. Through free, self-paced learning, participants strengthen their AI and digital skills and learn how to apply emerging technologies in school, work, and public service. By working through existing education and public-sector systems, InteligencIA also helps institutions build their own capacity to support more people as AI continues to change how we learn and work.

Change in Action

InteligencIA is expanding access to AI skills across Mexico, particularly for people and communities that have had fewer opportunities to participate in digital learning. More than 42,000 people have participated in the program, and 978 educators have been trained to replicate the model and reach more young people through their own classrooms and communities. Among public servants who completed the program, 93% said AI was useful for their work.

“Today, my students are more aware and intentional in how they use technology, and as teachers, we are evolving to guide them in that process better.”
