This case study presents findings from the Youth Entrepreneurship Development (YED) program, an initiative of the International Youth Foundation (IYF) supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). YED provided Palestinian university students with access to comprehensive career guidance services.
The case study describes YED’s efforts to strengthen the capacity of career guidance centers, including training counselors in career guidance theory, practice, and facilitation skills; conducting student needs’ assessments; and identifying labor market and employment trends. The study focuses on the role of private sector partnerships and YED’s work with the public sector to institutionalize a continuum of career guidance services benefiting young people.
