Roadmap to Strengthen Digital and Information Technology Training in the Post-School Education and Training System

The Fourth Industrial Revolution will inspire new ways of working and new skill sets will be required to create, maintain, and leverage new technologies. For South Africa to remain competitive within 4IR, the country requires a reliable pipeline of technical skills to fill emerging technology sector roles. The formal post-school education and training (PSET) system will need to partner with government, employers, and private training institutions to develop and support curricula that address the digital skill sets needed for the future job market and in the process create a more agile PSET system that is responsive to new skill sets.

IYF in partnership with Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF) and supported by the Department of Higher Education has implemented dynamic systems change initiative to deliver on a clear roadmap that will guide the process of integrating digital programming within the PSET system.
