Hellen Hurtado

Program Officer

Hellen Hurtado joined IYF as Program Officer in Peru, marking an important step in strengthening the organization’s presence and partnerships in the country.

She brings experience in sustainable development and social innovation, with a background in Business Administration and a specialization in Project Management. Her work has focused on project design, monitoring and evaluation, and strategic planning across initiatives that integrate education, health, economic opportunity, and environmental sustainability.

Throughout her career, Hellen has contributed to programs that promote inclusive growth while strengthening local capacity and community participation. Her approach centers on building systems that are responsive, data-informed, and locally grounded.

Her international experience includes collaboration with USAID, serving as Curator of the Global Shapers Cusco Hub of the World Economic Forum, and participation in the 2022 Community Engagement Exchange Program in Los Angeles. She also brings expertise in impact measurement, data analysis, and reporting, supported by leadership training at Georgetown University and George Mason University.
