Sofía González

Program Officer

Sofía González is an agronomist engineer with a deep understanding of the agricultural sector. She has a passion for sustainable development, technology, innovation, and agricultural practices, which led her to earn a certificate through the International Business and Global Entrepreneurship Program at Babson College in Massachusetts. With a focus on entrepreneurship, the certificate program covered a range of topics including design thinking, prototyping, entrepreneurial marketing, and opportunity analysis. Sofia also earned a bachelor’s degree from Guadalajara University. During her undergraduate studies, she was awarded a three-year scholarship to assist doctoral professors with their research. With over four years of experience in coordinating finance and administrative positions, Sofia has proven herself an expert in government tenders, and analysis of new projects for cybersecurity systems. In addition, she has a strong background in interventions related to the prevention of violence against women and experience with immigration status aimed at cases of violence. She brings to IYF a passion for changing lives and contributing to positive youth development.
