Mozambique
Two of our initiatives in Mozambique, Via: Pathways to Work and Escolhas, combine entrepreneurship training, career guidance, and our Passport to Success® (PTS) life skills curriculum to improve outcomes for youth in secondary schools and technical institutes and underserved youth. We also have experience empowering some of the country’s hardest to reach and most vulnerable youth. Utilizing PTS and our employability training, Preparação Laboral para Jovens (PREPA) empowered orphans and vulnerable children affected or infected with HIV to make healthier choices and create their own livelihoods. On a broader level, our YouthMap assessment for Mozambique has offered partner USAID, its missions, and other practitioners an understanding of the reality on the ground and innovative ways to address existing challenges.
