Co-Founder and CEO, New African Capital PartnersCharles KIE is a Co-Founder and CEO of New African Capital Partners, an investment platform aiming at fostering the emergence of African Champions in industries that drive the prosperity of African. Charles is also the CEO of SBNA, a joint venture between NACP and SouthBridge that focuses on investments in the financial services industry in Africa.
Charles was the Managing Director and CEO of Ecobank Nigeria from January 2016 to September 2018, after spending four years in South Africa as Group Corporate Bank Head and then Group Executive for Corporate and Investment Banking for Ecobank Transnational Inc (ETI).
Before joining Ecobank in 2011 in London (UK) and then Paris, Charles was the Group CEO of group Banque Atlantique. Charles spent several years working with Citigroup, first as Regional Head of Corporate Finance for Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa and then as CEO for West Africa, based in Cote d’Ivoire and then Senegal.
Charles is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He holds the TRIUM MBA from New York University Stern, HEC Paris and London School of Economics, as well as a Master of Science degree (DESS) in Corporate Restructuring from the University of Clermont Ferrand (France); he’s also a graduate of Ecole Superieure de Commerce (Abidjan- Cote d’Ivoire).
Charles KIE holds several board positions across the world (ERFIP- Rothschild Foundation – Switzerland, Bophelo – Lesotho, Leadway Vie and Mansa Bank – Cote d’Ivoire, SBNA in Mauritius, among others). Charles is also quite involved in philanthropy though the Future Africa Foundation of which he is the Chairman.
