Lynda Gomez de la Vega joined IYF as Program Coordinator, Life Skills in 2022. Prior to moving to the United States in 2010, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in journalism, and worked as a freelance journalist, an English teacher, and an interpreter in her native country, Venezuela. She has dedicated the last 12 years of her career to work on program management and client services focused on sexual assault and domestic violence crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. Throughout her career Lynda has successfully developed strong partnerships with stakeholders, led direct service advocate teams, developed policies and procedures, provided trainings for staff and other service providers, and assisted with grant writing and reporting. She has committed her career to empowering others, contributing to positive social change, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
